Our Mission

Assisting Larimer County seniors .....

The mission of the Elder Care Network is to assist Larimer County Seniors by providing information, resources and support to caregivers and to professional service providers.  The network is made up of family members and community professionals who host and promote activities intended to assist family caregivers and seniors in making informed decisions.

Through this web site, newsletter articles, topical seminars, conversations with caregivers, and our Questions and Answers pages, we try to address common caregiver issues:

    • Does my parent need assisted or nursing facility care? What will it cost?
    • How do I help my father deal with his grief following my mother’s death?
    • What is the difference between Medicare and Medicaid? How do I find out if my parent is eligible?
    • I live out of state. Is there any way I can have someone check on my parents once a week to see if they are okay?
    • I am caring for my husband who has Alzheimer’s disease and I need a break. Where can I go to get some help?
    • My mother attended a seminar where she was told she should have a living trust. Is this a good choice for her?
    • My parent seems depressed. Is there something I can do to help? What about medications for depression?
