Addressing the paperwork issues that go with caring for elderly

Posted by canderson at February 15. 2009
Sharon is the primary caregiver for her mother-in-law who need nearly total care. She cares for her in her home. Her husband helps when he can, and is supportive. Sharon indicates that for the most part she is doing well, but gets frustrated with the paperwork she needs to do for insurance, etc. Is there a place where she could go for help with this?

Carol,

My name is Jenny Illig and I am the Treasurer for ECN.  I own a business called Money Matters and I work as a Daily Money Manager providing financial care management services to seniors and their caregivers.  As part of this, I help with managing and tracking insurance claims and other paperwork.  I would be happy to talk with Sharon about how I might be able to help get her out from under the "paperwork mountain".  Please contact me or have her contact me at 970-484-8280.
