Q7. I don't have the time/energy/desire to research all the options for my aging parent's care. Where do I turn? Is there a central source of information?

The Larimer County Office on Aging serves as the central source for information and referral on services for older adults in Larimer County, is the United Way 211 'Answers on Aging' Senior Hotline. An Information and Referral Specialist can be reached by dialing 2-1-1, or calling 407-7066. There is someone trained to answer your questions from Mon-Fri, 8am-8pm, and Sat-Sun from 9am-5pm.
In addition, the Larimer County Office on Aging has a Caregiver Support Program, whose primary goal is to provide information to family caregivers. The Caregiver Support Coordinator can be reached at (970) 498-6820. There is also a free 'Senior Yellow Pages Resource Guide for Older Adults in Larimer County', available for consumers, families and older persons. This can be requested by calling (970) 498-6807, or going online to www.larimer.org/seniors.
For information and referral sources outside of Larimer County, it is best to call the Eldercare Locator at 1-800-677-1116, or www.eldercare.gov.
